With Nike’s headquarters just down the road in Beaverton, Oregon athletics has become a testing ground for some of the brand’s newest innovations. Combine that relationship with Oregon’s incredible resources, and you get some of the most luxurious athletic facilities in the country.

So this week, we’re breaking down what makes Oregon’s facilities so unique and why, from the outside looking in, it might seem like these athletes are on vacation every single day.

Oregon's football program has a 145,000-square-foot headquarters designed to give its athletes a professional-level experience on campus.

To put it into perspective, Oregon’s 145,000-square-foot football headquarters is larger than Auburn’s standalone football operations building and nearly identical in size to Clemson’s, despite opening back in 2013.

The recovery center features three hydrotherapy tubs, hot and cold plunge pools, massage tables, and dedicated treatment spaces.

The facility includes a dedicated weight room and indoor sprint track designed to support football-specific strength, speed, and conditioning.

Oregon's football headquarters also features a recruiting center, media interview room, video production facilities, and spaces for professional scouts.

Oregon football features high-tech napping and recovery sleep pods located inside the Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center.

Oregon’s Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Center features cutting-edge sports science technology, including 3D motion capture, force plates, and recovery tools designed to help athletes maximize performance.

Oregon athletes have access to a full-service nutrition bar and meals throughout the day, keeping them fueled for training, recovery, and competition.
